Biographical / Historical

David Henry Hwang (1957-) is a Chinese American playwright, librettist, screenwriter, and theater professor. Upon entering the theater and drama scene in early 1980s, Hwang has produced a number of award-winning plays that often explore and exhibit Asian American experiences and identities.
