One folder of document includes photocopies of Chinese Exclusion Case Files. The content of which involves the immigration case of Yun Gee's father Gee Quong On and raises to a confusion about Yun Gee's birth date.

Biographical / Historical

Born in Kaiping, Guangdong, Yun Gee (1906-1963) was a Chinese American modernist artist. He lived and painted in San Francisco, Paris, and New York City, and was considered as one of the most daring avant-garde painters during his time.
