This series consists of books, periodicals, and one videocassette donated by Alex Jay in 2008. The books include C. C. Wang exhibition catalogues, a book about movies, and two cookbooks. They range in date from 1954-1995. The periodicals include various issues of Host, New York's weekly arts and culture guide, from 1961-1964; two playbills from the American Theatre in St. Louis from 1961; two playbills from San Francisco's Curran Theatre from 1960; one issue of American Heritage magazine from 2005; and one issue of Audrey magazine from 2004, among a few others. The videocassette, titled "Forbidden City," is a 1989 documentary produced by PBS and That's Entertainment, and it includes rare footage of a Chinese nightclub of the same name, popular in the 1930s-1940s.
