Biographical / Historical
Seon Gin Quinnie Tan wrote a proposal for a program for New York's Chinatown that would match new Chinese immigrants, ages 8-12, with high school-aged immigrants who had been in the US for some time, in order to help create a smoother transition for the younger children into American society. Tan is an immigrant from Hong Kong. It is uncertain if Tan was a member of an organization or a student when she wrote this proposal; it is also unclear who is the intended recipient of the propoal.
