Scope and Contents
This collection consists of paper documents and newspaper clippings related to Alice Lee Chun's work as a public health nurse. In addition, it includes paper documents, photographs, and a large scrapbook from her time as a member of the Ging Hawk Club. Biographical / Historical
Alice Lee Chun was a public health nurse employed by the Community Service Society, a private New York agency staffed by social workers and health professionals. She also gave various radio talks on health issues for the Chinese radio station WHOM-FM. In addition, Chun was a member of the Ging Hawk Club, a women's social club based in New York which began in the 1930s as a YWCA-affiliated group.
