This song is adapted from a Qing writer Shen Sanbai’s autobiography Six Record’s of A floating Life. The story tells that Shen Sanbai was expelled from his family and lived in his friend’s house, which was called “Xiao Shuang Lou”. During the winter Shen Sanbai was sick. When he was helpless , his wife Yun Niang reminded him of their happy memories in the past to console him.
