Scope and Contents

The sub-series includes four books. Three are authored by Rose Quong: Chinese Wit, Wisdom and Written Characters; Chinese Ghost and Love Stories, and Chinese Written Characters, Their Wit and Wisdom. The fourth book, The Flower Drum Song, a work by C.Y. Lee, belonged to Quong and was purchased on eBay by Alex Jay.

Maxine Hong Kingston born on October 27, 1940, is a Chinese American author and Professor Emerita at the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated with a BA in English in 1962.
