Scope and Contents

This series consists of opera costumes worn by members of CMTA. The majority of the costumes are colorful and ornate robes, vests, skirts, jackets, shirts, hats, and shoes, for both male and female roles. Digitized images of the costumes are available.

Scope and Contents The collection contains 250 hand written opera manuscripts, Books and articles written by Chiu, Hung Fook and other authors on Cantonese opera history, theory, performance, and instrument. Scope and Contents This collection consists of materials related to Way Gar Wong's career as a Chinese opera performer. The majority of the collection includes opera costumes and accessories, such as hats, belts, and shoes, but there are also hair and makeup materials, such as wigs and wig pieces; a few stage props, like swords and fans; two framed photographs and a few print blocks; and some paper documents, including a flyer for a performance and an opera script.
